Description

NOTICE OF A CONTRACT ACTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition Operations, Strategic Acquisition Center - Frederick (SAC-F) intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for the purchase of the Maxventuri Air/O2 System and peripheral equipment to CareFusion on behalf of the VA Medical Center (VAMC) - Boston under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements per FAR 6.302-1. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This FBO announcement is being placed to satisfy requirements in FAR 5.201. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112, size standard of 500 employees. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Responses to this notice, if any must show clear and convincing evidence that competition is attainable and more advantageous to the Government. Please submit information to LeShanna.Calahan@va.gov. All responses must be received no later 1:00 pm EST June 5, 2013.
