- 1. Introduction. This Statement of Need describes the requirement for procuring and installing two washer-extractors and two dual stack dryers to support operations at the SLVHCS CRRC at 1601 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA, 70112. All equipment must be installed and operational by August 1, 2013. 2. Scope of Need. 2.1. The contractor will provide all material and labor to meet the requirements of this Statement of Need, to include delivery, installation, removal/disposal of packaging materials and debris for the following equipment. (Brand Name or Equal is acceptable) 2 EA - Milnor 30022 X8J - 60lb. Washer-Extractor 60 lb Capacity 9.0 cu ft. Cylinder Volume E-P Plus Control - 30 Programmable Formulas Universal Temperature Control - Cooldown Liquid Soap Connections Single Motor - Inverter Drive Six Speeds - Programmable 840 RPM Extract - 300 G's 480/60/3 Electrical 2 EA - American Model ADE - 330 Dual Stack Dryer: Electrically Heated 60 lb Capacity (30 lbs each) 10.1 cu ft Cylinder Volume per Basket 51,228 Btu/hr Microprocessor Controls Front Serviceable 480/60/3 Electrical 2.3. All equipment must be under standard contract warranties. 2.4. Installation will be performed by appropriately trained personnel so as not to void any warranty provisions. Installation shall include all manpower, tools, and transportation. The contractor is responsible for all other costs not listed herein. 2.5. No laundry equipment is currently in place at the CRRC. The contractor will not be required to remove any items before delivery and installation of equipment. 2.6. Delivery, installation, and cleanup will be coordinated with Phil Boogaerts, SLVHCS Assistant Chief of Engineering. 3. Site Conditions. 3.1. A loading dock is available at 1601 Perdido Street. There are no special logistical requirements to move equipment from the loading dock to the desired location within the CRRC. 3.2. Layout of room where equipment will be installed shown below. Equipment dimensions must meet these design specifications. 4. Time for completion. All work must be initiated and completed within the window of August 1-7, 2013. 5. Inspection and acceptance. The contractor and Mr. Boogaerts will conduct a joint inspection after all work is completed. Mr. Boogaerts will ensure all work is completed satisfactorily before acceptance. Disputes will be resolved by the Contracting Officer.
