- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Secure Workspace for Mobile Devices 1. PURPOSE: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This request is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal, Solicitation, a Request for Quote, or an indication that the Government will award a contract for the items contained in this RFI. This notice is not be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested, or reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. The Government is seeking all business types that have the capability or capacity to provide the items and services identified below. Responses to this notice will assist the Government in determining a socioeconomic strategy for a potentially forthcoming Request for Quote. 2. ANTICIPATED SCOPE OF WORK: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Information Technology, Enterprise Systems Engineering, Mobile Division requires a file collaboration tool comparable, or equal, to WatchDox, that allows for sharing devices across mobile platforms, as well as via Windows and Apple desktops. The solution shall include software, hardware, and implementation services for 750 users. See attached draft Product Description (PD) for additional information and anticipated requirements. 3. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: It is requested that any interested and qualified company submit the information required below via email to the point of contact listed at this bottom of this announcement. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest and provide indication of their ability to provide a product equivalent to what is described in the PD. Additionally, respondents are requested to provide feedback and comments on the draft PD. Please identify areas of uncertainty in the products and/or services required. The capability statement for this requirement is not to exceed 10 pages (including any attachments). Interested companies shall provide the following information: - Company Name; - CAGE/DUNS Number under which the company is registered in SAM.gov - Company Address; - Point of contact name; - Telephone number; - Email address; - Company's business size, including applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code(s); and - Capability Statement (10 page limit) RESPONSES DUE: Please submit the above requested information by 3:00PM EST on June 14, 2013 via email to Elisa Coluccio, Contract Specialist, Elisa.Coluccio@va.gov. This request for information, or Sources Sought notice, shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal. Information is to be provided on a voluntary basis. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges including postage and shipping will arise as a result of the submission of contractors' information.
