Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs NETWORK Contracting Office 15 is seeking potential vendors for the purchase of animal medical research items. Location: Department of Veterans Affairs Columbia VAMC, 800 Hospital Drive, BLDG D218 Columbia, MO 65201-5275. If you can meet all of the requirements for this purchase, please respond to this sources sought by email to David Nelson. The e-mail address is david.nelson99@va.gov. Responses must be received no later than 11:00 A.M. Central Standard Time, on June 14, 2013. The following information is required: 1. Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) & Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) (This information can be obtained from your Central Contractor Registration). 2. Name of firm w/address, phone and email address of point of contact. 3. State if your company is a certified 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, Hub Zone Small Business, or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. 4. Provide product brochures that demonstrate that your product can meet the requirements for this purchase. No telephone responses will be accepted. Statement of Requirements This solicitation uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. All offers must be compatible with existing equipment that has already been purchased and is currently in use at the station. The Columbia VA Medical Center is requesting a Phased Array RF Imaging Coils for 7.0T/210mm Horizontal Bore MRI as Brand name or equal as listed below which must be compatible with existing that is currently in use at the station. Must meet or exceed the following characteristics as stated below and as per Price/ Cost Schedule: 1 (ea.) Item #MT0047-01 - Mouse Cardiac Array Coil oAnatomically shaped 4 element mouse cardiac array coil. 1H, 2x2 coil element topology Receive-only capabilities 1 (ea.) Item # MT0046-01 - Rat Cardiac Array Coil oAnatomically shaped 4 element rat cardiac array coil. 1H, 4x1 coil element topology Receive-only capabilities Integrated AutoPac animal bed All vendor provided hardware and software must be compatible with, or offer replacement technology with identical capabilities of, the following existing system components. o7.0T/210mm Small Bore Horizontal Bruker Avance III MRI system and electronics, and ParaVision data acquisition and processing software. oActively decoupled 86 mm volume transmit RF Coil oFour receiver channels oParallel imaging software oPreamplifiers oAnimal table/animal holders Maintenance of units must be integrated into service agreement of the existing 7T/210mm micro-MRI system under local facility maintenance agreement with service company. Required Hardware/Software Components shall include the following minimal features: o1H Phased Array 300 MHz Mouse Cardiac RF coil for high resolution imaging of mouse heart. This RF coil will have minimum specifications of: oAnatomically shaped phased array mouse cardiac coil, for an optimal B1 homogeneity and sensitivity in the specific area oFour-element, 2x2 topology oActively decoupled, receive only capabilities oMust fit in and be compatible with the 86 mm ID volume transmit RF Coil and the parallel receiver channels/electronics/software o1H Phased Array 300 MHz Rat Cardiac/Mouse Body RF coil for high resolution imaging of rat heart, mouse body imaging. This RF coil will have minimum specifications of: oAnatomically shaped phased array coil for rat heart and mouse abdomen, for an optimal B1 homogeneity and sensitivity in the specific area oFour-element, 1x4 topology oActively decoupled, receive only capabilities oMust fit in and be compatible with the 86 mm ID actively decoupled volume transmit RF Coil and the parallel receiver channels/electronics/software
