- Description
- The TSA Office of Acquisition (OA), in conjunction with the Office of Security Capabilities (OSC) plans to hold a Small Business Networking Industry Day on August 6, 2013 at the TSA Headquarters at 601 S. 12th Street, Arlington, VA 20598, from 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Due to space constraints, the first 40 small business companies that respond, as required in this announcement, will be registered to attend the event, on a first come, first serve basis. Attendance is limited to only one representative per company and the company must be listed in the System for Award Management, the successor to the Central Contractor Registry. This event was a recommendation of the Small Business Focus Group, a part of the Washington Homeland Security Roundtable / OSC Engagement Group. Members of the Small Business Focus Group will also be invited to attend. At this event, representatives from OA will provide an overview of the Security Equipment Systems Integrator, Test and Evaluation Support Services, and Professional Engineering and Logistics Support Service contracts, as well as some information regarding the future competitive follow-on solicitations to these vehicles. OA will also offer insights into the general procurement strategic direction, use of strategically sourced vehicles, and be available to answer questions. Representatives from OSC will also be present to discuss strategic program direction. Also in attendance will be representatives from the incumbent contractors who current hold these contracts, including Battelle Memorial Institute, Boeing, Global Systems Technologies (GST), Lockheed Martin, Quasars, Raytheon, SAIC, and TASC. Each attendee will have an opportunity, in a group setting, to meet with representatives from each of these companies for approximately 20 minutes. At the conclusion of the event, free time will be provided to continue networking activities. This event will conclude no later than 4:00 pm. Attendees will be provided copies of all information presented, contact information for the incumbents, and summary information related to other attendees. This information will also be made available to the general public via www.fedbizopps.gov immediately following the event. To register, interested companies must send an email to hal.vernon@tsa.dhs.gov with a cc: Ronald.gallihugh@dhs.gov, which identifies the name, company, title, phone number, and email address of the attendee. The same email addresses should be used for questions about the event. Only one attendee may attend per company. Registration begins at 12:00pm Eastern on June 24, 2013. Attempted registrations prior to this time will not be considered, nor will the attempted registration be responded to by TSA. Each attendee will be asked to provide a capability statement and other summary information, which will be provided to the incumbents and attendees prior to the event. Registered attendees must provide this information or they will not be allowed to attend. A wait list will be kept and in case a registered attendee is unable to attend, additional companies may be invited on a first come, first serve basis. Questions concerning the Washington Homeland Security Roundtable / OSC Engagement Group should be made directly to the Washington Homeland Security Roundtable at: info@whsroundtable.org. Interested parties are advised they must arrive at the TSA Visitors Center at 601 S. 12th Street, Arlington, Virginia 20598 at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the event. A valid U.S. issued Identification (e.g. Driver License, Passport) is required. TSA Security logs in all visitors and issues temporary badges. Visitors will then be escorted to the meeting room by a TSA employee. Visitors must be escorted at all times by a TSA employee while onsite. Failure to abide by TSA's visitor procedures may result in expulsion from TSA facilities. Street parking is extremely limited and garage parking is available for a fee through Fashion Center at Pentagon City. The TSA is also directly across the street from the Pentagon City Metro, which is an encouraged means of transportation. Logistical information concerning the event will be provided to attendees prior to the event.
