- The Contractor shall provide all certified and qualified labor, material, equipment and supervision in accordance with these specifications necessary to disassemble, relocate and re-install the existing Multi-star Handle Tow on the Victor Constant Ski Slope, located at the United States Military Academy (USMA) West Point, New York 10996. The contractor shall disassemble and remove existing 700' Multi-star handle tow located on the left side of the ski slope. Remove all parts/equipment associated with existing tow, each tower, rope, power house and operator's house. All existing equipment and parts are to be reused. The contractor shall remove all debris from demolition, not being reused, off USMA property and dispose of properly. The contractor shall reinstall, on the right side of the ski slope, the 700' Multi-star handle tow, 12HP soft start drive, 5/16 quote mark galv. wire rope with handles. Provide all misc. parts and equipment for a complete installation. Installer must be ANSI certified in Aerial Tramways, Aerial lifts, Surface Lifts, Tows and conveyors ANSI B77.1. Installer must install in accordance with manufacturer's installation specifications, see attachment A installation instructions. The contractor shall at the new location, install concrete pads at each end of handle tow, at the top and bottom of slope, for equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. Concrete pads must include reinforcement as per manufacturer's specs. See attachment A concrete foundation specs. The contractor shall relocate existing electrical controls and provide electrical hook-up from the electric service to the handle tow. Controls and electrical components shall be reinstalled in existing building already located on right side at bottom of slope. Provide all parts needed for a complete hook-up to include safety and stop switches. The contractor shall provide a start up and user training demonstration for ski slope operators, if requested. The contractor shall, at the new location, grade and seed the ski slope. Contractor shall meet slope grade specifications as specified by the Multi Skilift manufacturer. Slope grading may include soil and rock removal and/or adding soil where needed. If the profile of the ground surface of the new slope is different to the profile of the old slope please send the manufacturer the slope measurements in accordance to their instruction for slope measurement. See Attachment A slope measurement specs. The contractor shall break up and remove old concrete pads used for the equipment at the original site location. Old concrete pads are located on the left side, top and bottom, of the slope. Dispose of all concrete and debris. Add soil, level and seed after pads have been removed.
