- The General Services Administration (GSA) Pacific Rim Region announces an opportunity for construction services for a repair and alterations project, "Restroom Accessibility Remodel", at the Tucson Federal Building, 300 W. Congress St., Tucson, AZ. This requirement is a competitive, 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. See Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19.1403 for status as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. The NAICS associated with this procurement is 236220. The small business size standard associated with this NAICS is $33.5 million. The estimated project cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, with anticipated project duration of approximately 180 calendar days. The project involves ADA Renovations to the Men's and Women's Public Restrooms on floors 2-8 and the basement of the Tucson Federal Building, 300 W. Congress St., Tucson, AZ. The project includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, materials, equipment and supervision for: removing and installing new interior walls; removing existing doors and frames in their entirety and installing with new existing doors and frames where indicated on the drawings; modifying mechanical systems and ductwork, including rebalancing; modifying sprinkler head locations; removing all plumbing fixtures and installing new fixtures per plans; modifying electrical power supply; removing existing light fixtures and installing new; removing existing 1-hour rated GWB ceiling and replacing with same; removing existing ceramic tile wall & flooring and replacing with new; and relocating and re-using some existing toilet room accessories. The Request For Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about July 12, 2012, and will only be available for download on FedBizOpps. The technical specifications in the RFP are considered Sensitive but Unclassified Information. Therefore, interested offerors will need to be approved prior to gaining access to the RFP package. In order to be granted access, an offeror must be currently registered in the U.S. Government System for Award Management (SAM) database (URL: http://www.sam.gov). Once you have registered with SAM you will be required to register with FedBizOpps. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedBizOpps via the following URL: http://www.fbo.gov. A pre-proposal conference and site visit at the Tucson Federal Building, 300 W. Congress St., is scheduled for Tuesday July 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. (MST). All offerors (and major subcontractors) are encouraged to attend the conference and site visit. Interested parties must notify the Contracting Officer for further information about attendance and to confirm location, time, and date. Only those parties who have notified the Contracting Officer and provided necessary information in advance of the meeting will be allowed to attend.
