- THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUEST FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources and if this effort can be competitive or a Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336413 which has a corresponding Size Standard in number of employees of 1000. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all businesses to include Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. This sources sought is to notify interested companies that the U.S. Air Force is seeking sources for the remanufacture/upgrade/re-core for the A-10 and B-1B Heat Exchangers. The interested company must be willing and able to enter into a Direct Sales Partnership with the U.S. Air Force such that the remanufacture/upgrade/re-core requirement can be accomplished according to schedule. Additionally, the source must possess any necessary license agreements with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to obtain rights to all required data, including military specific modifications. The Contractor will be responsible for recurring and nonrecurring engineering services. These engineering support activities include detailed design engineering, maintenance engineering and repair development, systems engineering, technical analysis, drawing and source data maintenance/updates, flight safety analysis, reliability/maintainability analyses, liaison engineering support, stress analyses, accident investigation, and engineering feasibility studies. This includes supply chain management, logistics, forecasting of parts, long lead-time parts procurement, reparable forecasting, obsolescence issues, and delivery of serviceable assets.
