- Request for Quotation Statement of work The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center, located in Honolulu, HI. intends to issue a fixed price purchase order for vessel and charter service to conduct BOTCAM operations in the Main Hawaiian Islands. Missions will be scheduled at up to 10 days in duration, which will allow PIFSC FBSAB to evaluate the BotCam technology and to collect data for analysis purposes. Operations will be conducted from the island of Maui and will depart and return daily from a local harbor. These day trips will be scheduled for 8 to 12 hours dependent on weather and operating conditions. The anticipated performance period is August, 2013. To be considered, firms must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide service. Such information shall include, at a minimum, name, telephone number and address of concerns for which you have furnished this service previously. Information should provide sufficient detail that demonstrates the firm's knowledge and ability to perform the requirement. This support service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This is a simplified acquisition estimated value not to exceed $150,000.00. The entire solicitation is attached. No further solicitation documents will be issued. Submissions received in response to this notice shall be evaluated based on demonstrated technical ability to successfully provide the required services as stated herein. Interested parties must respond within seven (7) days after publication of this notice. ALL responses and/or questions must be in writing and can be Faxed to 808-983-2900, Attn: Bonnie Oshiro or emailed at Bonnie.Oshiro@noaa.gov. The NAICS code for this action is 483112. The Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must have a valid Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS) and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/, with an active status, to be eligible for award. A DUNs number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet on-line at www.dnb.com/eupdate or by phone at (800) 333-0505. All contractors are required to complete online Representations and Certifications https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ to be eligible be made to any contractor that is not registered in SAM.
