- The single contractor shall purchase the COTS equipment using the Performance Specification document titled, quote mark MULTIPLE INTEGRATED LASER ENGAGEMENT SYSTEM (MILES) UNIVERSAL CONTROLLER DEVICE (UCD), MICROWAVE PANELS, 1.7V AA BATTERIES, AND LITHIUM RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. quote mark The contractor does not have to account for shipping the equipment. No testing or integration costs will be paid to the contractor. Two of the items will be brand name purchases and the individual specifications are attached. The Government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award. The Government anticipates making award based on Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis. The Period of Performance (PoP) will be for one year from contract award. The formal solicitation may be issued at a later date by a separate announcement. Only prime contractors who are interested in procuring and packaging this equipment should respond to this Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information and shall describe their qualifications in the following areas in four (4) pages or less: 1. Current and past experience with installation, fabrication, integration, delivery, and testing of former or current Initial - Homestation Instrumentation Training System (I-HITS) or Homestation Instrumentation Training System (HITS). The contractor is to describe how the purchased equipment is interoperable with the existing I-HITS system in Romania, without the Government having to quote mark retest quote mark the purchased equipment. 2. The contractor shall provide individual prices for the following items and associated quantities: 20 - MILES UCDs 2 - Microwave Panels (Tsunami Quickbridge 5054-R-LR) 750 - 1.7V AA Batteries 150 - Lithium Recharageable Batteries (Patco PB-AM-01) 3. Personnel experience/qualifications in support of the effort as described above. Please do not include resumes. 4. This shipment to Romania will be handled by DCMA. The contractor is not responsible for shipping the equipment. This is NOT a request for proposals. This announcement is for planning purposes only to identify and determine the extent of industry interest and experience in this requirement. RESPONSES REQUESTED: Contractors desiring to be considered for this opportunity are requested to respond to this Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information by the closing date above to the Contract POC listed below.
