- As a result of NRC's evaluation of responses received from sources sought notice OPA-13-ENC that was posted on www.fbo.gov, the NRC is conducting this acquisition as a total small business set-aside. The NRC intends to solicit and award a FAR Part 12 Commercial Item contract consisting of a base period of one year plus four one-year options to extend the term of the contract for a contractor to provide the following: - a daily briefing/summary to NRC by 7:00am Eastern Time each work day, accessible by an IP-protected website and included in a searchable archive, that provides information related to nuclear power, nuclear materials, nuclear security and other news of interest to the NRC NRC that is produced in the English language by domestic and international news outlets and blogs from printed and broadcast sources and weave them into an easy to read narrative summary; and - expert media analytics for traditional media and social media that includes, as appropriate, statistical information and other professional expert analytical narrative. The solicitation and related amendments will be posted on www.fbo.gov and will only be available by accessing them from that site. NRC anticipates that evaluation factors will include technical capability (technical approach and personnel qualifications), corporate experience, past performance information and price, with the non-price factors, when combined, being significantly more important than price. See the solicitation, which is anticipated to be posted to this site on or about July 31, 2013, will have all of the details for solicitation requirements, terms and conditions, proposal submission instructions, and evaluation factors for award and relative order of importance of those factors. For proposal preparation purposes, offerors should assume a contract award date of November 15, 2013, and that the period of performance for the base period for the resultant contract will start on December 1, 2013.
