- Synopsis: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Blount Island Command (BIC) Contract Support Management Office hereby provides notice of its intent to sole source a one-time service contract award to North American Industries (NAI) Cranes, LLC of Woburn, MA. The contract award provides additional crane work that has been deemed to only be available from the original source. The contract purpose is to provide a turnkey solution for removal, install, and testing of the 3 bar Spanguard system. NAI is the original source in the case of this follow-on contract which is to remove an existing crane system and replace with a new turnkey installation. This is a continuation of the very specialized work previously provided by this firm with the provision of 25 and 50 feet crane systems to Blount island Command. The total amount of this service requirement is less than the simplified acquisition threshold of $150,000.00. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Interested persons may identify their interest and capacity by responding to the requirements specific to this requirement in writing to the points of contacts designated herein. Oral or telephonic inquiries will not be accepted. All interest and capability statements received within three (3) calendar days after the date of this publication will be considered by the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in preparation of information or documents. Based upon the responses to this notice, the Government retains sole discretion to award and not complete the proposed contract action. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of follow-on contracts. This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable.
