Description
******NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE***** In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management system paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA ™s intent to issue a single-source award to Regulus Group, LLC, 238 N Main St, Woodstock, VA 22664. The purpose of the single-source is to increase the ceiling for Regulus by $5.0 million thereby increasing the ceiling to $45.5 million to complete the contract period of performance until December 2014. Regulus is a small business. The ceiling will allow uninterrupted support to major critical NAS programs such as ASR -11, ASR-11 Technical Refresh, Mobile ASR, and Surveillance Interface Modernization (SIM). Regulus retains historical technical knowledge and systems architecture expertise to the design, development, evaluation, field engineering support, installation, optimization, software development, and testing of surveillance systems, and their interfaces. Increasing the ceiling will allow for complete and timely installation and optimizations currently on schedule. In addition, Regulus will support ongoing investment analysis efforts for Technical Refresh Segment 2, to be concluded by December 2013, and requirement efforts for Mobile ASR-11 and Common Terminal Digitizer programs (CTD). Since January 1, 2005, Regulus has been supporting the FAA under contract DTFAWA-05-C-00022. The work being performed thus far has resulted in successful implementation of critical ASR-11 system deployments throughout the NAS and the successful training of FAA personnel to operate and maintain these ASR-11 systems. The ASR-11 Tech Refresh Segment 1 is in full deployment and software modifications are in progress. The deployment of the Advanced Signal Data Processor (ASDP) includes a trained engineering team that have successfully installed 56 of 68 systems.
