- The U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground Mission Installation Contracting Command is seeking sources that can provide: Particle Sensors Standard aerosol sensor with light-wave conductor technology. Measurement range: 0,2 - 10 m / 0,3 - 17,5 m / 0,6 - 40 m / 2 - 100 m. For maximal number concentrations up to approx. 40.000 p/cm3. Sensor must interface with the Light scattering spectrometer system. Particle Sensors Standard aerosol sensor with light-wave conductor technology. Measurement range: 0,2 - 10 m / 0,3 - 17,5 m / 0,6 - 40 m. For maximal number concentrations up to approx. 1.000.000 p/cm3. For coincidence-free measurement of the highest mass concentrations, e. g. with Arizona dust A2, SAE-fine up to 1.000 mg/m3. The sensors will be optimized for particular particle concentrations with measuring volumes of different sizes for a coincidence-free measurement. Thus a high particle counting rate and thereby a good statistical security in concentration ranges of less than 1 P/cm3 bis 106 P/cm3 are achieved. The trouble-free and reliable measurement of large particles up to 105 m in the sensor is guaranteed by the vertical aerosol duct at a high volume flow of 5 l/min and a large aperture area. Sensor must interface with the Light scattering spectrometer system. Light scattering spectrometer system Measurement range: 0,2 m - 105 m, Cn 106 P/cm3 -90 C T less than 70 C Optional: T 250 C, p 10 bar Exhaust flow rate: 5 l/min Digital individual signal acquisition: 20 MHz processor, 256 raw data channels Light source: 35 W Xenarc lamp Operating terminal: Touch display 800 x 480 Pixel, 1,6 GHz Intel Atom TM processor, 2 GB Compact flash Interfaces: USB, Ethernet, RS232/485 Electric connection: 115 V/230, 50/60 HZ Case: Desktop case (19 quote mark compatible 4HE, 84 TE, T= 435 mm), optional with mounting brackets for rack installation Contractor must adhere to Army Regulations; AR 525-13, Antiterrorism and AR 530-1, Operations Security as described in section 8. The requiring activity for this procurement is the Life Sciences Division, DPG, UT. A determination on the contract type, mechanism for procuring the services, and possible set-aside will not be made by the Government until after the market research has been completed. No proposals are being requested or accepted under this synopsis. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516 and the size standard is 500 employees. Qualified companies are encouraged to respond. Responses should provide the following information in response to this sources sought announcement: (1) business name and address; (2) name of company representative and their business title; (3) pertinent details and experience of doing this type of services (identify any relationship with work conducted with the Government s chemical and biological programs); (4) business size as it relates to the NAICS code and size standard stated in this sources sought announcement; (5) contract types typically used for these types of services; and (6) other contract vehicles that would be available to the Government for the procurement of these services, to include General Service Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedules; and/or any other Department of Defense contracts. PROCEDURES: This Request For Information (RFI) is a required component of a complete and systematic process to evaluate interested parties in order to minimize cost both to potentially interested parties and the Government. Interested sources are also encouraged to submit product literature in response to this Request for Information (RFI). Any submission of such product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting future formal Request for Quote. No solicitation document exists for this request for Sources Sought.
