Description

The Veterans Affairs Integrated Service Network 9 (NCO 9) has a requirement for (8) FGS-0420 PillCam SB 2-Ex capsules, 10-Pack systems. These capsules are used in a process called gastrointestinal endoscopy, which is a test using a flexible fiber optic tube with a tiny TV camera at the end that allows a doctor to see the inside of the lining of the digestive tract. The Pillcam SB grants doctors the ability to detect and monitor any abnormalities within the small bowel. Lesions, obscure bleeding, Crohn's disease, and iron deficiency anemia can be treated and prevented with the aid of the Pillcam SB. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for this requirement. The suggested contractor is Given Imaging Inc, 3950 Shackelford Raod, Suite 500, Duluth GA 30096-1852. Requested items: (8) FGS-0420 PillCam SB 2-Ex capsules, 10-Pack This is not a request for proposal. However, companies that can provide an equal product must submit their technical capabilities to include technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price and delivery time. This information will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for consideration for future requirements.
