Description
Marshall Stability and Flow Test Machine Statement of Work Purpose: The Airfields and Pavements Branch (APB) of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Vicksburg, MS, has been tasked by the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency to evaluate asphalt concrete mixtures used during construction of military airfields. APB is collecting and testing asphalt concrete mixtures during paving projects. Marshall Stability and Flow tests on the asphalt need to be performed to measure properties related to construction specification requirements. A Marshall Stability and Flow test machine is needed to acquire necessary data. Specifications: To meet requirements in Unified Facilities Guide Specification 32-12-15, APB must have a Marshall Stability and Flow test machine capable of being transported and operated in a small equipment trailer. The test machine must not exceed 5 ft height, or 4 ft width or depth. The test machine must weigh less than 350 lbs. to prevent overloading the equipment trailer. The test machine must be powered by 110 volt electricity. The test machine must meet requirements and be able to perform testing according to ASTM International standard D 6927, quote mark Standard Test Method for Marshall Stability and Flow of Bituminous Mixtures. quote mark The test machine must have a digital data acquisition system that records force and displacement constantly during the test, reports the peak Marshall stability and flow value, and can record and store at least 100 readings using internal memory. The data must be stored in a format to download onto a computer using Microsoft Excel or vendor-supplied software. Delivery: The Marshall Stability and Flow test machine must be delivered NLT 1 SEP 2013 TO US Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg, MS, 39180. Please include shipping charge in price quote.
