- VTC Refurbishment Solicitation Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport intends to solicit and award a contract for the refurbishment of a Giddings & Lewis 60" Vertical Turning Center (VTC), under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A firm-fixed-priced (FFP) purchase order will be issued. This requirement is being issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the attached solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis. The solicitation number for this requirement will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ) N00253-13-T-0428. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 333517 and has a size standard of 500 employees. Requirements and evaluation procedures are listed in the attached solicitation. For a proposal to be determined complete, all evaluation factors and subfactors must be addressed in the proposal. If the proposal does not address all evaluation factors and subfactors, the proposal will be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered for award.
