Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a fixed labor rate, Basic Ordering Agreement type line item modification under contract N00024-12-C-2402 to L-3 Services, Inc., 3835 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, VA 23502. The Government has a requirement to procure a total of 20,000 additional man-hours to support supplemental or emergent growth work for the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) currently being executed at Assault Craft Unit 4, Joint Expeditionary Base, Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia. The ordering period for these additional hours will run concurrently with the base work of the three remaining craft, LCAC 38, LCAC 55 and LCAC 60. The last craft is to be delivered in March 2014. As L-3 Services, Inc. is performing the base work packages under SLEP for these specific craft, they are familiar the unique craft conditions and, therefore, they alone possess the technical experience and resources necessary to meet the Government's needs in a timely manner.
