- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) SYNOPSIS ONLY. This synopsis is being issued under the authority of FAR 15.201("Exchanges of information before receipt of proposals"). This RFI is for the purpose of identifying Vendors and/or Contractors that are capable of: The installation of a facility wide monocholramine water treatment system for the entire Wilmington, Delaware VA Medical Center to prevent the growth of Legionella Pneumophilia in the domestic water distribution system. This installation will be for a complete Sanikill monochloramine generator feed and control system to include, but not limited to: 1.Electronic controllers 2.Volumetric dosing pumps 3.Reagent lines 4.Flow sensors 5.Containment tanks 6.Flow paced feed 7.Real time ORP monitoring and monochloramine feed rate control 8.Remote monitoring 9.LAN based alarm notification All Vendors/ Contractors are asked to reply to this Sources Sought RFI. Please reply to Chuck Peck, Contracting Officer, Charles.Peck@va.gov with information requested below by Friday, August 16, 2013, the 4:00PM EST. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic set aside if feasible. The Veterans Administration is required by Public Law 109-461 to give first priority to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns if there should be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside. If insufficient veteran owned and small business response is received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
