- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Marine Corps Systems Command is conducting market research and exploring potential sources and best practice information to determine potential comfort/durability improvements and cost savings relative to the United States Marine Corps Dress and Service Caps. INDUSTRY DAY The Product Manager-Infantry Combat Equipment will hold an Industry Day on 27 August 2013 located at 1000 Corporate Drive, Suite 301, Stafford, VA 22554. The afternoon will be reserved for 30 minute one-on-one discussions with the Government. For those who are unable to attend the Industry Day in person, but wish to participate will need to request the call-in information when they register. The purpose of this Industry Day is to obtain feedback from industry regarding comfort improvements and cost savings for the Marine Corps Dress and Service Caps. Registered vendors who plan to attend the industry day will receive an agenda prior to the event. Industry Day Registration: All sources that plan to attend the Industry Day on 27 August 2013 and would like to schedule a one-on-one discussion with the Government can register via e-mail with Mr. Bill Carney at Bill.Carney@kalmancoinc.com by 22 August 2013 with a courtesy copy to the Ms. Leigh D'Lugos at susan.dlugos@usmc.mil. Please provide the name and position or title of not more than two attendees per company, contact information, and business size. Unregistered attendees will not be admitted unless space is available. Vendors are advised that the Government will utilize support contractors/non-Government personnel from Patricio Enterprises and Kalman and Company to assist with the industry day. Any proprietary information provided at the industry day will be protected from unauthorized disclosure as required by Subsection 27 of the Office of Procurement Policy Act as amended (41 U.S.C. 423) (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), as implemented in the FAR. This company is bound contractually by Organizational Conflict of Interest and non-disclosure clauses with respect to proprietary information. Supporting contractor personnel are procurement officials within the meaning of the Act, and will take all necessary action to preclude unauthorized use or disclosure of Vendor's proprietary data. The Berry Amendment will apply to any future procurement actions resulting from this RFI. Inability to attend this Industry Day (whether in-person or via teleconference) will not preclude any interested party from responding to future notices regarding this effort. THIS INDUSTRY DAY IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEMS/SERVICES, NOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE INFORMATION RECEIVED. NO ENTITLEMENT TO PAYMENT OF DIRECT OR INDIRECT COSTS OR CHARGES BY THE GOVERNMENT WILL ARISE AS A RESULT OF SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES TO THIS RFI AND GOVERNMENT USE OF SUCH INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS.
