Description
The VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with GE Healthcare of 300 N Grandview Blvd, Waukesha, WI, for the purchase of a CASE V6.6 SHS Premium Package. The Case V6.6 is required to update the current GE stress system software already in place and replace computer hardware that has reached the end date for support. The Case V6.6 package is part of the GE MUSE system which is the database for all EKGs. Holters and Stress Tests that are done within VISN 1 as well as the VA Boston Healthcare System. Algorhythms from other systems are not compatible with the GE MUSE system already in place. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Product Description GE is the manufacturer of the stress equipment currently in use. GE is capable of upgrading the system described in Section III above without the Boston VAMC experiencing unacceptable delays in fulfilling its requirements. Algorhythm set by other manufacturers must be researched for compatibility with MUSE system currently in place throughout VISN 1 in order to be stored in a single database that stores various Cardiology tests/procedures. This product is also under a mandatory NAC Contract Schedule. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 08/19/2013 @ 2:00pm. Responses should be sent to James.Corbett2@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
