- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Gordon, GA intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with MICROTECH for the following item(s): PURCHASE OF EMC ON AND OFF SITE SUPPORT TO MAINTAIN THE INSTALLED EMC CENTERA NETWORK SERVERS FOR THE MATERIAL TECHNOLOGY LABORATORY FAIMILY OF SYSTEMS (MTLAB FOS.) The NAICS code is 334516. The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c) (1), Only one responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government and you may be considered for the next requirement. If no affirmative written responses are received by 11:00 AM on 15 AUG 2013, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
