Description

This requirement is to set up a Requirements contract for the repair of NSN 5960-01-185-1885EW, Part Number 1041794-1V1 to include a one year base and four, 3 month options. Assets will be shipped FOB ORIGIN to SV3119, Bldg 368 Robins AFB, GA. Inspection/Acceptance will be at Source. There will Data CLINs (1LO) as well. Should all options be exercised, the total duration to place orders would be 2 years from date of award. Base year BEQ will be 268 ea, Option BEQs will be 61 ea. The RFP will be issued on a sole source basis to Communications and Power Industries (CPI), CAGE: 0MH33, via authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), due to CPI being the only company who possesses the data, skills, special equipment, and facilities required to repair the items. The detail design packages needed for the repair of these items are not in the Government's possession. The Government only has the specification drawings (source data) which are insufficient to allow another source to repair the items. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 4 Sep 2013, with responses due by 4:00p.m. EST, 4 Oct 2013. The RFP will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov.
