This is a Sources Sought for Market Research Purposes Only. The VA VISN 2 Upstate New York Healthcare system is issuing a Sources Sought to determine how many vendors can provide 15' DOJ Approved Cable Gun Locks to the VA Medical center in Albany, New York. All shipments shall be delivered to the Pittsburgh VA, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. This Sources Sought is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of sources and services pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses should address how you will meet the Government's needs according to the description below and provide a brief capability statement. This is just a summarization of the requirement to determine interested sources. All vendors that are interested in possibly providing these items/ services are asked to submit the following information as well (all vendors regardless of business size are encouraged to respond): 1.) General Requirement: The VA Firearm Safety Program will purchase gun locking mechanisms to provide to veterans through various components within each VA Medical Center and its allied operations and partners. Educational sessions on gun safety will be available through the activities conducted at VA operations such as the VA Police, OEF/OIF programs, Veteran Outreach Centers. Gun lock mechanisms will be made available to all veterans and Veteran family populations who desire them throughout the national VA Medical Center system. This requirement covers the DOJ approved cable lock. Vendor is responsible for all labor, material and delivery of the cable. Four deliveries are anticipated to the Pittsburgh VA, Pittsburgh, PA 15240.
