Description: Ladies and Gentlemen, The Regional Contracting Office (RCO) Vicenza intends to award a contract for the subject indicated above. The purpose of this Synopsis is to publicize the upcoming contract action. NUMBER AND TITLE OF THE PROJECT: E8-41063-3-J, Relocate Villaggio Substations. DESCRIPTION: This is a contract to build a new prefabricated Switching Station adjacent to the boundary fence to accommodate AIM Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) equipment, energy meters and U.S. Government DG ( quote mark Dispositivo Generale quote mark, as per CEI Norm 0-16 - Third Edition), MV and LV equipment, in order to comply with Italian authority AEEG. The existing Electrical Substations bldg 305A and bldg 305 shall be demolished. METHOD OF COMPETITION: This requirement will be procured using full and open competition processes and procedures. FUNDING: The requirement is not funded at this time. Subject to Availability of Funds (SAF). PERFORMANCE SITE: The site for the work is the military installation in Vicenza (Caserma Del Din). PROJECT AMOUNT: The project amount is between $250,000 and $500,000. This amount is informational only. Offerors are not bound to submit an offer within that range. SELECTION CRITERIA: Will be firmly established in the solicitation. Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) is anticipated at this time. TYPE OF CONTRACT: The Government contemplates the award of a firm-fixed price (FFP) commercial contract. ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: 27 September 2013. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Approximately 90 calendar days from date of award. SITE VISIT: The site visit will likely take place between 2 September 2013 and 6 September 2013. Interested vendors must submit their request no later than 23 August 2013 to the following e-mail address: karl.w.geyer.civ@mail.mil, indicating in the email Subject: PSN, W912PF-13-R-0111, Relocate Villaggio Substations.
