Description

52.212-1-3 Q&A 1 Pricing Model RFP The scope of this contract is to acquire Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) equipment and OEM professional services for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) from a single source, the prime contractor. This contract is primarily for the National Information Technology Center (NITC) and the National Finance Center (NFC) to provide current, continual, and evolving technology that is part of the Enterprise Architecture's (EA) enterprise infrastructure (EI). As the Government's requirements and technology evolves, the EA's EI will also evolve. Therefore, this contract's offerings shall grow and evolve to support current and future EA's EI requirements. The OEM equipment within scope of this contract is a very integral part of NFC's and NITC's EA and EI. In accordance with policies, in order to leverage this contractual vehicle to its fullest extent, any USDA agency may use this contract if they determine it meets their requirements. This contract may be referred to as the USDA EI contract or EI contract. The EI begins with the backend of the servers and includes all equipment up to the front of the storage area network (SAN) switches. For purposes of this EI contract, the word "equipment" will be used to be an inclusive term for hardware, firmware and software.
