Description
RFQ REVISED FOR CLARIFIACTION AND ADDTION OF OPTION PERIOD CLINS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS SOW REVISED FOR TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS AND CLARIFICATION REVISED SOW AND RFQ. DUE DATE EXTENDED TO 8/30 Naval Postgraduate School Statement of Work Research and Engineering Effort The Adaptive Optics Center of Excellence (AOCoE) for National Security requires services from recognized experts to review its programs, offer technical assistance to address critical research issues, and provide technical and consulting support for the Adaptive Optics laboratory. Objective The overall objective of the AOCoE is to conduct research in beam control and adaptive optics for maritime deep turbulence compensation for imaging and directed energy systems. Our technical approach is to perform basic research in atmospheric turbulence modeling and simulation, wavefront sensing and reconstruction, and advanced beam control for adaptive optics compensation. The Adaptive Optics testbed, ABL testbed and HBCRT will be utilized to conduct laboratory and field experiments in atmospheric turbulence compensation and jitter control for HEL beam control systems. Tasks The Contractor shall provide research support to conduct research and development including integration and testing in the following tasks: Design, configure, integrate and test the ABL Low Power Testbed components and system. This will entail developing a test plan for each key ABL hardware such as deformable mirrors, wavefront sensor, fast steering mirrors, self-referencing interferometer and other components. Based upon component assessment, the Contractor shall develop, integrate and test the key ABL components to include computer interfaces, software, electronics, hardware. The Contractor shall summarize test results in a report. Integrate components into the high power beam control research testbed (HBCRT), test and validate performance. This task will consist of supporting the HBCRT integration and testing to include advanced components, deformable mirror (DM), optical components, laser upgrades and others as required. The Contractor shall report results. Provide support in optical sciences to the Adaptive Optics test bed to include design, integration and test of optical components, DM, interferometers, sensors, Rayleigh beacon and other components. Provide guidance and technical assistance in establishing research goals and experimentation. See attached SOW and RFQ for details
