- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the Co-Sponsorship Transportation and Development Institute Green Streets Highways Conference. ASCE will be conducting a comprehensive study on concepts in Transportation and Development, building on cutting-edge applications of green, sustainability and livability concerns that are relevant to transportation and development of infrastructure. Additionally, ASCE will lead an extensive technical program developed by members of the ASCE scientific committee that will present technical workshops on the subject matter of green sustainability. Because ASCE will be providing the conference space, facilitators, and organizing their conference; they are considered the only source that can provide the services for their conference. A purchase order issued under FAR Part 13 is anticipated and the total estimated value is not to exceed $20,000. The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm's capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to perform this effort.
