- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office (YAO), Yuma Desalting Plant (YDP), Yuma, Arizona, 85364, intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Rural/Metro Fire Dept., Inc., 9221 E Via De Ventura, Scottsdale AZ for emergency response services. Competition is restricted to only one source due to Rural/Metro's ability to respond within a reasonable timeframe at an anticipated fair and reasonable price in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Services required include: 24 hour first response team capabilities for chemical releases, and 24 hour fire protections services for all YAO facilities and structures. Total square feet to be maintained is 258,490. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621910 with a size standard of $14 million. This procurement will be awarded using FAR Part 13 and FAR Part 12 procedures with an intended base year beginning September 26, 2013 and four one-year option periods. Anticipated award date is September 5, 2013. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov is required. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received may stand and the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Rural/Metro.
