Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought Notice is published for market research purposes only. This Sources Sought Notice is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements described below. The Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WBVAMC) located at 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 requires contractor-provided labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for upgrading and expanding the existing Stanley Roam Alert System. The work includes, but is not limited to, providing, installing and verifying operation of exciters, door hardware/closers, key/PIV pads, badges, software, hardware, wiring and all other appurtenances necessary for a full and functional elopement prevention system. The primary purpose of the work is to upgrade the existing Stanley Roam Alert Software to the new Stanley AeroScout Elopement System using the Catamaran Enterprise Software Platform and create a secondary barrier for patient elopement prevention. The applicable NAICS Code is 541511 and the size standard is $25.0M All interested parties shall respond, via email, with the following information: Company Name Address Phone Number Point of Contact Size Classification (small or large) and Socio-Economic Status (HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, etc.) A brief description of your interest and experience providing the services described above. Responses are due by 12:00PM EST on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 via email to Mark.Knorr@va.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. If the Government decides to award a contract for this or related effort, a solicitation will be published and posted on the FedBizOpps website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website and downloading a copy of the solicitation.
