Description

SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Department of Veterans Affairs Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042 is seeking to obtain sources to VAC Ultra Therapy Units that provide the following: Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (V.A.C. Therapy): 1.Patient and Wound Assessment 2.Debridement that removes necrotic and fibrinous tissue and decreases the bacterial load 3.Initiation of appropriate cleaning and antimicrobial therapy 4.Removal of exudates 5.Increasing granulation tissue in preparation for wound closure Instillation Therapy (V.A.C. VeraFlo Therapy) optional use: 1.VeraFlo Therapy/Delivery provides automated topical wound solution instillation and removal. 2.Instillation cleanses and helps soften and loosen wound debris 3.Delivering topical antiseptic/antimicrobial solutions helps reduce bacterial population 4.Removes solubilized wound debris and infectious materials, including planktonic bacteria 5.Promotes granulation tissue formation and perfusion during the therapy cycle, assisting the wound to close This therapy also provides contained and controlled wound irrigation without the risk of bacterial aerosolization typically generated during manual lavage. This is not a request for competitive quotes. It is a notice to obtain possible sources that have the capacity & capability of providing the VAC Ultra Therapy units with specialty functions as described in this notice. Information regarding your firm's capacity and capability to provide such services are to be submitted electronically on or before Wednesday, September 4 prior to 4:00 pm (EST) addressed to Crystal Roberts, Contracts Specialist: crystal.roberts4@va.gov.
