- USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to PVL Technologies, Inc., 140 Jim Bird Lane, Long Lake, New York 12847 procure the needed expertise of a Consulting Engineer to repair and upgrade the Centrifuge Research Center (CRC) earthquake simulator ES80. PVL Technologies, Inc. designed the simulator and is uniquely suited to provide services to its own design. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. CST on Monday, September 16, 2013. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFQ/RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Robyn.D.Wells@usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
