- AGAR This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation no. AG-81J8-S-13-0005 is issued for a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69. (iv) This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS code is 333111 and the small business size standard is 500 employees or less. (v) The USDA, ARS, Arid-Land Agricultural Research Center requires a Thresher. A thresher is needed for small bundle-samples from field trials of oil seed crops. The system is to be based on the ALMACO SBT thresher or equivalent. It must have a hopper opening measuring approximately 11" x 15", have variable speed cylinders and fans, have an overshot-type concave with adjustable clearance on the raspbar, have a cleaning fan, and include interchangeable screens for the recleaning pan. Screens supplied should include.125,.25,.325 and.5 inch hole sizes. It should include a removable sacking shute. The power should be supplied by a 110 VAC electric motor. The thresher should be readily moveable, such as through a cart-type configuration and 10" wheels. (vii) Delivery to the USDA, ARS, Arid Land Agricultural Research Center, 21881 N Cardon Lane, Maricopa, AZ 85138-3004. (viii) The provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
