Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs will be soliciting proposals for Ambulance Service for the Beckley VA Medical Center, located at 200 Veterans Avenue, Beckley, West Virginia is a 40-bed general medical and surgical care facility with a 50-bed community living center. This contract will include a requirement for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Truck (CCT) transport. The Contractor shall furnish 24-hour ambulance service for the beneficiaries of the Beckley VAMC and on an as needed basis, and for patients with emergency, non-emergency and regular standing appointments at either the Beckley VAMC or the Maxwelton Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), as well as throughout the catchment area which falls under the Beckley VAMC. This includes the following counties in West Virginia: Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, McDowell, Mercer, Monroe, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Raleigh, Summers and Wyoming. This contract will also require ambulance transport to the Richmond Virginia VAMC, the Salem Virginia VAMC, as well as other VA Medical Centers and community hospitals as needed. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of the solicitation. The period of performance is October 1, 2013 (or date of award) through September 30, 2016 for the base period, with two (2) one (1) year options that can be exercised by the Government. This is acquisition is unrestricted. All offerors are responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the Federal Business Opportunities website without further notification from the Contracting Officer. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the SAM database at http://www.sam.gov. The applicable NAICS Code is 621910 and the size standard is $7M.
