- Description
- Question: I would like additional information regarding this solicitation regarding the RF performance characteristics for this optical link, Some of the key parameters are a. Expected Fiber Length b. Expected Fiber loss c. RF Input Level d. Require Link Gain" Reply: Fiber length, varies dependent on the location, but have yet to see any over 1000 feet Fiber loss, again, based on the length, so it will vary RF Input level, will vary based on frequency, the input level can be controlled by attenuation, and on the Ku band there is a amplifier to make up for cable loss from the antenna. We would expect the input level to the transmitter to be around -10 to 0dBm Link gain for just the fiber TX/RX link should be around 0 dB +/- 2db
