- THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The SAO West, NCO19, Rocky Mountain Network Contracting Center, 4100 E. Mississippi Ave, Suite 900, Glendale CO is performing market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVSOB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VSOB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) Small Business (SB) firms in Utah to set aside a single selling Agreement. The Government will use responses to this notice to make an appropriate Selling Agreement decision. The requirement is for a contractor to buy and remove Government Scrap Metal and Pallets located at various locations of the VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System. Services will include but not limited be to removing various types of Scrap Metal and Wooden Pallets from the Medical Center will be required to pick up the scrap within 5 days of notification. The contractor will be required to remove all of the scrap from the Medical Center and have it weighed within 10 days after the contractor is notified to remove the scrap. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, with information describing their interest, capabilities, geographic location and indicate which small business category for which they qualify to the Contracting Officer Adrian Blackman at Adrian.Blackman@va.gov, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Mountain Time), September 13, 2013, Solicitation# VA259-13-I-0960 - Scrap Metal & Pallet Selling Agreement has been assigned and should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. The NAICS Code 423930 is applicable to this acquisition; the size standard is 100 employees. The anticipated period of performance will be one basic year plus four (4) one-year options for renewal. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract.
