Description

The Memphis VA Medical Center has a requirement to furnish all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and labor necessary to perform Removable Denture Laboratory Services for the Memphis VA Medical Center. Pursuant to 38 U.S.C. 8127(b) and VAAR 819.7007 contracting officers may use procedures other than competitive (including sole source awards) in acquisition for an amount less than the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, to make awards to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB). It is the intent of the Memphis VA Medical Center to sole source this requirement to Oral Arts Laboratory, Inc. a verified VIP database VOSB under NAICS 339116 small business size is 500 employees. The Contracting Officer has determined that using the Vets First Sole Source Statute Title 38 U.S.C. 8127(b) for this procurement is most advantageous and in the best interest of the Government. This sole source will only be for a three (3) month period of performance to allow time for a competitive procurement of a base plus four (4) option periods for a total of a five (5) year contract.
