Description

BRAND NAME DOCUMENT SF-18 Combined Solicitation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a data logger. This procurement is being procured in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. Interested parties must respond to this announcement within ten (10) calendar days of its publication. All responses must be in writing and may be faxed to 858-546-7004 or emailed to Pamela.g.jones@noaa.gov. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. The office of NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service, located at 8901 La Jolla Shores Drive, La Jolla, CA is seeking a contractor to provide the required satellite-linked CTD archival instruments. The instrument is an important component to the Antarctic Ecosystem Research Divisions mission of an ecosystem approach to management of fisheries resources in the Antarctic. They are necessary for tracking at sea movements of foraging seals while collecting temperature and salinity with every dive. They are a valuable tool in recording changes in oceanography while seals are making long-distance migrations through the southern ocean.
