- RFQ N00167-13-T-0099 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number N00167-13-T-0099 applies and is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and quotes/proposals are being requested. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334511 with the size standard of 750 employees. The small business set-aside has been dissolved. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), has a requirement for the Channel Technologies, ITC Model 1007 underwater transducers to support the NSWCCD, Acoustic Trials Detachment located in Bayview, Idaho. The NSWCCD intends to conduct a non-competitive procurement with Channel Technologies Group (CTG) located in Santa Barbara, CA 93111. The Channel Technologies Group ITC Model 1007 transducers are currently in use on multiple test platforms at the NSWCCD, Acoustic Trials Test Facilities located in Bayview, Idaho. The ITC Model 1007 is a proprietary design of Channel Technologies who is the manufacturer and sole distributor. Use of another manufacturer's product would result in a substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals however all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. All submissions received within 7 days from the publication date of this notice will be considered by the Government. Please reference RFQ N00167-13-T-0099 with all correspondence. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See the attached solicitation document N00167-13-T-0099 for requirements, clauses and provisions applicable to this solicitation.
