Description
1. Objective: The objective is the upgrade of six (6) Christie Matrix StIM projectors located at the System Simulation and Development Directorate (SSDD) Advanced Prototyping Engineering and eXperimentation Laboratory 2 (APEX2). The upgrade shall allow operation with two inputs coming from two separate image generators (IG). One IG will provide out-the-window visible images. The second IG will provide a material coded image that will be used on the infrared (IR) channel. Because the projectors are still under warranty, the upgrades shall be performed at a Christie facility by Christie personnel. (brand name restricted to Christie.) 2. Dismantling and Shipping of the Projectors: The contractor shall ship to SSDD APEX2 six projector shipping containers. SSDD APEX2 shall dismantle the six projectors using procedures and specifications. If the procedures and specifications are provided by Christie, SSDD APEX2 shall follow Christie 's procedures and specifications. SSDD APEX2 will ship the containers to the Christie facility specified. 3. Upgrade of the Projectors: The contractor shall upgrade the six projectors to meet the objective. Christie shall test each projector for successful dual-input operation before shipping the upgraded projectors back to SSDD APEX2. 4. Installation of Projectors and Assemblies: Before the installation of the projectors by the contractor, SSDD APEX2 shall verify that proper cabling is present to connect to the cabling and connections provided by Christie. Contractor personnel shall provide on-site installation of the projectors, lens, and MotoBlend assembly. Rental of equipment to include a lift to reach the installation points is the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor shall perform a projector alignment and collect new twist data and MotoBlend filter measurements. 5. MotoBlend Filter Installation: The contractor shall fabricate at their facility new I/R capable MotoBlend Filters using the measurements taken in Item 4. The contractor shall return with the new filters, shall install the filters onto the MotoBlend assemblies, and shall perform a final MotoBlend adjustment. 6. Project Completion: SSDD APEX2 shall verify project completion based on successful installation and normal operation (no errors) of the projectors using dual inputs.
