Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, and is being conducted under FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program; simplified acquisition procedures apply. VA will conduct the procurement according to a combination of FAR Par 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. Under the auspices of FAR Subpart 13.501(a)(2) the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (VAMC) anticipates entering into a sole source procurement with Olympus America, Inc., 3500 Corporate Parkway, P.O. Box 610, Center Valley, PA for one (1) EndoAlpha Video System. The government believes that Olympus America is the only manufacturer/distributor of the system that will satisfy the agency requirements of compatibility with existing equipment/systems. (ii) The solicitation number is VA256-13-Q-1780 and is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) (iii) The provisions and clauses incorporated into this solicitation document are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69, August 1, 2013. Provisions and clauses incorporated by reference have the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
