Description

Intent to Sole Source: The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201, intends to sole source to Varian Medical Systems 200 E. Howard Street Suite 202, Des Plains, Illinois 60018, 800-544-7450. Varian Medical Systems shall provide preventative maintenance on the Varian Medical Linear Accelerator System, model TrueBeam all related equipment/system for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Ann Arbor Healthcare System, Ann Arbor, Michigan. This proposed contract action is for the system/equipment mentioned above, which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses maybe reviewed and/or obtained from he General Service internet address: http://www.gover/far. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposal contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submitted no later than Monday, September 30, 2013 to the contracting officer indicated above.
