No technical data is available. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. The resulting contract will be Firm-Fixed Price. This announce constitutes the synopsis only; a proposal is requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFQ) FA8571-13-T_0036. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are that in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-89, effective 03 Sep 2013, NAICS is 334419 and small business size is 500 employees. Place of performance/FOB Robins AFB Georgia. The approximate RFP issue date will be 26 September 2013. Quotation/Proposal is due 10 October 2013. This requirement is sole source to ION Corporation, Cage Code 1BU04 in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Or A Limited Number of Responsible Sources, And No Other Supplies Or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government that this requirement will not be competed based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Foreign participation is not permitted. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified below for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition.
