- Description
- •1.1.1.1 The contractor shall provide both GPS-synched TDMA firmware and separate firmware for point-to-multipoint (P-MP) networks. The P-MP firmware shall be capable of operating on existing Intuicom Navigator II hardware as well as hardware that will be modified for GPS-synched TDMA. The contractor shall complete development and test of the firmware modifications no more than 90 days after contract award. •1.1.1.2 The firmware shall allow the radio to do the following: •1.1.1.2.1 Operate at least 30 TDMA time slots at 4 Hz (or 4 times per second) without Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) •1.1.1.2.2 Operate at least 60 TDMA time slots at 2 Hz (or 2 times per second) with WAAS enabled •1.1.1.2.3 Operate at least 120 TDMA timeslots at 1 Hz (or 1 time per second) with WAAS enabled •1.1.1.3 The firmware shall be capable of supporting an inertial measurement unit (IMU) that will either be integrated internally in the radio, or connected externally via serial port. The user shall be capable of selecting whether to use the on-board IMU. •1.1.1.4 The firmware shall allow for data, configuration, and firmware upgrades on Port A of the radio. This shall allow the radio to be locally and remotely accessible. •1.1.1.5 The firmware shall support external Input/Output (I/O) and message flag (e.g. panic). •1.1.1.6 The firmware shall allow for either ASCII, or clear/encrypted binary message packet. The binary message format will be provided to the contractor shortly after contract award. The ASCII message packet will not be encrypted. The binary message shall be operated in either clear, or encrypted with 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). •1.1.1.7 The firmware shall be backwards compatible with legacy Intuicom Navigator IIm radios that do not have the TDMA hardware modifications. •1.1.2 Hardware Modification: The contractor shall perform the following for line item 0002. If ordered, the contractor shall provide modifications for Navigator IIm radios ordered either on the current FISC IDIQ contract (N00244-11-D-0012), or acquired through other contracts. These modifications shall include providing power to the external Port B serial connector to support IMU operation, i nstalling a GPS battery, re-routing the PPS signal, provide electrical testing, and firmware loading. The contractor shall be responsible for modifying up to 73 units. The contractor shall complete all of the firmware and hardware modifications at least 10 business days after the last unit ('73 rd unit") has been provided to the contractor.
