- This is a Sources Sought only. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is performing market research to determine if there are any vendors with economic status of Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women Owned, and other Small Businesses that can provide services to conduct a feasibility study of available medical care in rural areas of the Veterans Affairs Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPIHCS) to include the type of care available in these rural areas, gaps in care coverage in these areas, a cost benefit analysis of including additional care coverage in these areas, and recommendations for improving care coverage. This study is being conducted in response to President Obama's August 31, 2012 Executive Order, "Improving Access to Mental Health Services for Veterans, Service Members, and Military Families." The contractor shall coordinate with a team of VA personnel based at the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System (VAPIHCS) Honolulu, HI campus. This requirement will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The period of performance is January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014. The socio-economic status of the responders will determine the type of set-aside. Summary of Work: Please see the attached draft Performance Work Statement for further details. There is no solicitation document as this time. The NAICS is 541690 with Small Business size of $14 million. Only firms interested should send their information and/or capability statement and any questions by email to nicole.do@va.gov no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, October 11, 2013. Information should include: Name of Company, POC name, phone numbers, email address, Expiration date and DUNS number. Socio-economic status such as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, VOSB, Women-Owned Small Business, etc. should be included. Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) (see internet site: http://www.sam.gov).
