Blank DD2345 RFI details General Information Notice Type: Request For Information Number : Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information (RFI) FA8224-14-R-MBFI-C17-CASES Solicitation Number: TBD Posted Date: October 04, 2013 Response Date: October 21, 2013 Classification Code: 3089 NAICS: 326199 Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, Air Force Material Center, OO-ALC/PZIM 6038 Aspen Ave (Bldg 1289), Hill AFB, UT, 84056-5805. Description 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 326199 which has a corresponding Size standard of 500. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8a, Service-Disabled VeteranOwned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. 2. Program Details: This RFI is in support of the program to purchase a quantity if MBFI test equipment sets to satisfy the needs of the C-17 maintainers throughout the world. The overall test equipment consist of adapter cables, specific to the platform under test. The C-17 MBFI transport case serves not only as a means of transport, but as a protection to the equipment. Significant damage to environmental conditions and handling can occur to the MBFI equipment without protective packing surrounding sensitive components. All Capabilities shall be IAW the product description. Special Considerations Contract award decision may be based upon an evaluation of cost and non-cost factors (i.e., technical capability, past performance, etc.). This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine Potential sources for information and planning purposes only. Sources Sought Notice 1. What quality control measures do you currently have in place (ISO 9000, 9001, AS9100, NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program))? 2. The applicable North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is listed above. Can the ALL Specifications outlined in the program details can be met? If not, which ones and why? 11. Can you provide a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) for this service?
