Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE ANIMAL RESEARCH The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to affiliate Wayne State University for animal research services upon the basis of the authority provided in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is being conducted under NAICS 541940 in the aggregate value of $510,000 over the period of five years. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by 10:00 AM EST, 18 October 2013, by e-mail to Diana.Burton@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
