- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) is soliciting a sole source acquisition for antibodies manufactured by Georg-August-Universitat Stiftung Offentlichen Rechts; Universitatsmedizin, Robert-Koch-Str. 42, 37099 Gottingen, Germany. Specifically, the Government will purchase the following antibodies: 4400 ug Z22/8 (anti-C3; 14,6 mg/ml) 1000 ug biotinylate K5/4 (anti-C3a; 0,58 mg/ml) 2200 ng hog C3a Standard (5 ug/ml) 2mg Z22/8 (anti-C3a) 2mg T13/9 (anti-C5a) The purchase of these specific antibodies is to study the role of the complement system in a trauma and the use of complement inhibitors to treat traumatic hemorrhage. These antibodies are the only available antibodies on the market that specially targets porcine complement components, C5a and C3a. Currently, no other vendor sells or distributes porcine specific antibodies for the complement components C5a and C3a.
