- Solicitation for NSN 1630-00-032-6102/ 0050987117, Disc, Brake, Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems (CAGE 0B9R9), part number 5001702. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to the procurement described are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. DLA Aviation does not currently have an approved technical data package for this item, please do not submit requests. The only approved source for this item is Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems. Any manufacturer, other than the approved source, wishing to submit a proposal on this item must submit a complete source approval request (SAR) package. A letter request for proposal (RFP) will be issued for a firm fixed-price quantity of 1,696 each. This solicitation will result in a firm fixed-price contract without options. The required delivery schedule is 175 days ARO, FOB origin, inspection/acceptance origin. PPIRS applies; the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors. Critical application and configuration control apply. This is not a critical safety item. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. A copy of the solicitation will not be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS). A copy of this solicitation will only be available to requesters by contacting the buyer directly. The solicitation issue date is October 4, 2013.
