- The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity on behalf of the U.S. Army Research Institute for Environmental Medicine (USARIEM), is conducting market research to determine availability of companies who can provide Peripheral Quantitative Tomography (pQCT) Support Services. Requirement is to accompany USARIEM personnel to various Continental United States (CONUS) locations in support of research study protocol data collection using Government-owned and rental (if necessary) Stratec XCT 3000 pQCT units. Support service includes set-up of Stratec XCT 3000 pQCT units by 1) ensuring that all units are in working order, to include, but not limited to: quality assurance (QA) testing, trouble-shooting any mechanical problems with the units, machine part repair, and other on-site repair (if necessary); 2) correction of any malfunctions that may occur during scanning study subjects; 3) ensure all data is backed up and saved appropriately; 4) provide individualized recommendations on scan analysis; 5) execute the following programs: Makejob auto analysis program, CT copy program, CT filter program with Kernel filter and Averaging filter, and FixCT; and 6) customize and repair the units as follows: create custom fixtures for comfort during scans and on-site mechanical component level repairs. Service technicians must have experience with Stratec XCT 3000 pQCT units. A familiarity with USARIEM Stratec XCT 3000 pQCT units and mask settings is desirable. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. PROPOSALS ARE NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Respondents having proven capability of satisfying the requirements stated herein should provide a narrative identifying business size (large business, small businss, and small disadvantaged business, etc.), applicable designators (service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc.), experience performing the same or similar services and General Services Administration/Federal Supply Schedule information, if applicable.
